Lucy is Kristin and Christopher’s sweet kitty. She is quite cautious and finally sat still for me to pet her the last couple of days.
Just a relaxed day alone. Everyone is at work (and will descend here for a fun evening) and I am just putzing. Some remote access computer work, but mostly relaxing. Here I am on the back porch with a CAO Black VR and an Old Speckled Hen. It’s 96 degrees out here…and comfortable!
Tomorrow, it’s Kara and me for the day!
After returning home from golf on Wednesday, I went with Kristin to San Francisco. We took the cruise boat out to Alcatraz and spent the next two and half hours touring the island, learning of its history and prison life, myth and truth, and just had a great time. We then walked about a mile to La Trappe where Christopher likes to sample all the different ales and beers. We had a wonderful meal, tasted wonderful beers, ate way too much, and waddled back to the car. It was a great day.
Pam, Chris, Eric and I played the 9 hole, par 3 course near the Barrett home. From Pam squatting to hammer the tee into the ground with a 7 iron to Eric addressing the ball with a wedgie-reducing waddle to Fred feeding the fish with golf balls – it was a blast!
Christopher is a beer and ale enthusiast and regularly brings home new and unuasual ones to try. Over a few days we shared some of the ones shown below. All were good – some quite noteworthy and must be enjoyed again soon 🙂 Love that Samuel Smith!
Barb and her mom and I arrived in San Jose on Friday, August 27, 2010. We are looking forward to spending several days with our girls and my brother and sister. On Sunday we went to Morgan Hill for some wine tasting at a couple of wineries: Clos LaChance and Sarah’s. Sunday night we had a birthday party at Pam’s for Eric and Barbara. Tons of fun.
